Yup, that's just a few spots after Las Vegas, Amsterdam and Pattaya. Now, try telling me whether or not we should have issues with erotic dancers.

Manama, Sin City of the Middle East
Here's to our MP's and everyone else trying to ban Haifa Wahbi thinking THAT will solve all our morality issues. A big slap in the face for you, Manama has been ranked as the NUMBER EIGHT sin city in the world.

ReplyDeleteI gotta visit Manama more often...lol.
ReplyDeletethat's hilarious! what an honor to be in a list with cities such as Rio and Vegas!! :)
ReplyDeleteas for banning Haifa, how is she worse than some of the belly dancers at some restaurants, etc?! nas fathya ib 9ara7a!
Haifa actually arrived in Bahrain before they started talking about banning her!! we've gotten used to their useless talks.
ReplyDeleteAs for sin cities, it's possible, why ever not?! considering what specific sins they're looking at. but I find it quite hard to believe that Manama comes before Berlin & Macau!! I mean come on! that's Germany & China they're talking about! some people there have never heard the word sin before!!
damn saudis.. theres more mention of them in the artivle than of bahrain.. but hey.. we made a list, how cool is that!
ReplyDeleteHmmm - not sure put stock on this poll. Where in the hell is DXB?

ReplyDeleteHappy now?
Frankly, I"m shell-shocked. NYC didn't make it and Manama did? hmmm something's fishy
ReplyDeleteWow you'd think Dubai would be there, but Bahrain? I'm guessing it has to do with proportion.. and it is obvious that a lot of people go there for these specific things in mind!
ReplyDeletehmmmm wana kila im wondering wats so hot about ba7rain?? hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteRara; It makes perfect sense, actually. The majority of people who visit Bahrain on a regular basis are Saudi's, many of who are looking for a good time. Booze is freely available to them, women are plentiful with a pretty decent selection, and even drugs are all over the place. A few hush hush places even have gambling.
ReplyDeleteWhen someone goes to NYC, the foremost thing on their mind isn't usually booze, women, gambling or drugs. It's usually toursim or business. Bahrain doesn't really offer much in terms of tourism, and in terms of business, it's all superficial. So yup, our 'tourism' economy is pretty much sustained by women and alcohol.
As for comparing it to Dubai, again the same principle works; sure, some people go to Dubai for hookers, gambling, booze. But a great majority don't; you have tourism, business, and so on, making sin only a small proportion of it.
Perhaps, I'm blinded by the word sin and not purpose of travel, coz NYC is very sinful, if you ask me. *wink wink*
ReplyDeleteBut, yeah, that's interesting, I guess I wouldn't have Manama as one of my future touristic destination. :-(
Ok me happy now
ReplyDeleteso anyone interested in some hot girls for a good time?? (and NO I don't have local girls)
