Man arrested for possessing drugs

A BAHRAINI man was arrested when he accidentally pulled a piece of hashish from his wallet after being asked to produce his driving licence by a police patrol.
The 25-year-old defendant was on his way home when he was asked to pull over by police in a routine check, Public Prosecutor Fahad Buainain said yesterday. "When they asked him to show his driving licence, he accidentally took out a piece of hashish which was stuck to his licence."
The man was arrested and later transferred to the Public Prosecution, where he admitted possessing hashish, but said he had forgotten it was in his wallet. He has been released on BD500 bail until his case goes to court.
Now i'm no expert, but i'm assuming here that a driving license and a piece of hashish do NOT look the same. I'm not supporting illegal activities here, but if faced with a similar situation, when stopped by an official figure (ie, police man and so on), you should try to avoid things such as producing illegal substancs infront of them. If people can't grasp simple concepts like this, it's no wonder we have so many problems in this country.

this kind of reminds me of a guy that was a few years older than me in school.
he always came in with blood-shot eyes, looking like a stoner.
Sounds like a practical joke to me.

ReplyDeleteAt a store I worked at two women got caught shoplifting and they were brought up to the main office where cops interviewed them and gave them a ticket.
One woman started threatening the officer and got up and a big bag of weed fell out of her coat. instead of going home that day, she got arrested.
I've seen this happen lot. I'm sure it something to do with people being under the influence

ReplyDeleteit's common for hashish users to stick their piece behind their CPR, driver's license, Visa, or any other hard plastic card. it's so that people won't notice it when they open the wallet, it's also that the humidity of the wallet being in your pocket keeps it fresh and stops it from drying up. i guess this guy wasn't counting on being pulled over!
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, i forgot to mention, hashish looks very similar to blu-tac, it also has the same stickiness quality but has a strong odor.

ReplyDeleteThe guy was set on bail?! Omg man... here in Dubai they sentenced a guy four years to prison followed by deportation for possession 0.005 grams of heroin! That's like stuff that didn't go with the laundry
